Meet Pink Event 2016 Speaker Cassandra Herbert!

Cassandra Herbert knows all too well what it means to be a real-life superwoman. That woman who seems like she can do everything--a career, marriage, children, community involvement, church, etc.--without breaking a sweat.

Even though it looks like she has it all together, doing and being everything for everyone, Cassandra says the superwoman isn't real.

"It's really a woman with a control facade because she looks like she has it all together but really she doesn't," says the holistic nurse therapist, wellness educator and health advocate.

In fact, Cassandra will dissect the superwoman syndrome when she speaks at The Pink Event® 2016 (March 6, 2016 at the BWI Airport Marriott in Linthicum).  She'll draw upon her own experiences of living in the superwoman syndrome before breaking free.

Often, so-called "superwomen" have a fear of asking for helping and receiving it. Those actions can create vulnerability, "which is a four-letter word for the superwoman," Cassandra says. The problem is that "superwomen" have a trouble saying no and setting limits because they want to be liked and perceived in control.

"I want to help women understand that doing less sometimes is doing more. The other focus will be that if you are eating healthy and you feel deprived, then you're not doing it right. Healthy food can actually make your taste buds dance!"

Learn more about Cassandra here and plan to see her talk at The Pink Event
